A Holistic Healing Approach to C-Section Recovery


The shock of what happens to your body after a c-section can leave you feeling alone, scared and completely out of control.

A cesarean section is a major abdominal surgery and you need to get enough rest, combined with ample movement to recover quickly. Watching my eldest daughter recover from her c-section gave me first hand experience about the challenges that a new Mom has to face while trying to recover – physically and emotionally.

As part of my c-section recovery programme I will teach you how to take control of your healing process by integrating daily practices into your schedule to make sure that your body heals quickly and that you avoid any further stress on your post-preggy body. Remember – the hormone relaxin (which relaxes the ligaments in the pelvis during pregnancy) can stay in your body for up to 16 weeks+ after you’ve had your baby!

We RELEASE the tension in your body.
We RECONNECT with your muscles.
And we work to RESTORE strength and stamina in order to recover.

After completing the recovery program you will:

  • Understand why your body looks and feels the way it does and what you can do to start feeling like you again
  • Know how to connect with your tummy muscles during everyday activities (like lifting your baby, hanging laundry) to help speed up your healing process
  • Understand how to work with your pelvic floor to connect with your deepest tummy muscles to accelerate healing and get rid of that ‘mummy tummy’ look
  • Be able to perform self massage and release techniques that are crucial for a speedy c-section recovery
  • Understand that what you eat is a major factor in how well your body heals and know which foods to eat more of during the weeks to follow
  • Have your own bespoke exercise programme tailored to your own personal needs and requirements

Even if you had your c-section a few years ago, if you are still feeling numbness and pain around your scar area or experiencing lower back pain – it could be related to your c-section healing process.
